It is that time again, time for a new OpSkyBlock reset! We are excited to announce that the new OpSkyBlock reset is right around the corner filled with features to further enhance your experience at our OpSkyBlock server.
As we are getting closer to Christmas we decided to bring you a season full of Christmas joy within our OpSkyBlock server. We will be adding some seasonal limited-time features that are only here for the December season to spice things up for you and enjoy your holidays by playing OpSkyBlock.
Below you can find most of the changes we have made and what has been added, I’m sure I forgot to mention it all but I’m sure giving it a good read over you will be familiar with most you're going to see. If there is however still something you want to change, feel free to mention it on this thread before its release, we can still consider making the change.

End of the world
To celebrate the end of the season, we will be hosting an end-of-season event. At around 3 days before the release, we will be placing reset signs at spawn which you can click and claim a number of rewards; Free items, Free gkits, Millions of in-game money, Tons of free experience to level up your overpowered armor. Everyone will be able to finish their rank-ups because you can get everything for free. You can fight with everyone without the fear of losing your gear you have weeks to gather. So clearly this is the event everyone should participate in! Hop on OpSkyBlock and have fun!
Changelog
The following are the most important features/modifications implemented towards this season's map and features.
Payouts! Island Top Rewards
In this new season of OpSkyBlock, we will have bi-weekly rewards for the top islands!
This will continue until the end of the season which will last exactly 6 weeks or 42 days and end with the final payout.
View all the dates in the /payouts menu.
End-of-the-season rewards
First place: €500 worth of Iron currency.
Second place: €350 worth of Iron currency.
Third place: €200 worth of Iron currency.
Bi-weekly rewards
First place: €75 worth of Iron currency. Second place: €50 worth of Iron currency. Third place: €25 worth of Iron currency.
New! Spawn
What is a better way to get into the winter season than with a brand-new spawn? Get all cozy in our spawn with these December colds outside.
A new spawn with a prehistoric theme.
The spawn contains an outpost again.
Looking for some help? There are plenty of NPCs explaining all the features.
The PVP arena is filled with supply drops that you can capture. 
A new seasonal crate has been added again.
New! Player Shops
We finally took the time to properly implement an easy-to-use shopping system for you and all the players. There is only one essential thing missing to make your cell open to the public, a good player shop system! That is why for this season we will be introducing a brand new player shop system that you can use with ease.
Create your shopStart off by placing down a chest with a sign saying [shop]. Once the sign has been placed down the chest will turn into a player shop. Once the chest has been turned into a shop it is time to get started. Start out by clicking the newly created shop sign. Now your shop menu will open up. Within this menu, you can do 4 different things, those things are:
Set your shop item - With this, you can select an item from your inventory that the shop should sell, this can be any item in the game, as long as your shop has enough stock for it you will be able to sell it!
View shop logs -Here you can view everyone that has used your shop in a small simple overview, this way you can check how your little market did while you were offline.
Select your price - Looking to buy, sell, or both? Configure your shop with a fair price and you will be able to buy items from players, sell them items to you, or even both. This will also work while you are offline.
Remove your shop - Want to move your shop somewhere else? No worries. With just a click you can remove your player shop from your island.
Select a currency - Looking to sell for Souls, Mob Coins, or just money? The choice is yours, you can select any active currency as the currency for your player shop.
Advertise your shopsA new unique way to make yourself known with your player shops is by advertising them. You will need Advertisement Gems in order to be able to advertise your shop, and each shop can be advertised individually as well. Once the timer runs out your shop is no longer advertised, however, players will always be able to use your shop, even when it is not being advertised.
Browse all advertised shopsWith everyone being able to create a shop we decided to make a big overview, the /playershops menu will show all the current player shops, organized by item and category. However in order to have your shop shown here you will need to have it advertised.
New! Advent Calendar
To get into the Christmas spirit we will be giving away a free reward every single day!
How do you get those rewards? Simple! All you have to do is log in every day during the December month, look for the Advent Calendar NPC within the spawn, and claim your daily gift, how awesome is that?
Every day will have different types of rewards, so make sure you don't miss any of them.
New! Christmas Mine
The Elves have settled in within the Mines World of OpSkyBlock and made it their new home!
They are ready to have a blast fighting you this December Season and aren't giving up. It looks like these Elves are somehow evil, so get out your best set and get ready! It is time to fight back and save Christmas from these little evil Elves.
Take down the Evil Elves.The Elves are trying to take over the Mines World in OpSkyBlock and it is up to you to defend it! The Christmas mine has now been opened up by a magical portal located at /spawn. Jump into this portal to head into the Christmas Mine. Slaughter as many Evil Elves as you can in order to save the cave! While you are at it, you might as well mine down some Christmas Tree Ores, dropping little Christmas Trees that you can sell in the /shop for some extra money.
Santa is joining the fight.Every 4 hours the leader of these Evil Elves will join them and fight back. It's Santa Claus coming to town! Team up with everyone from the OpSkyBlock server to take down this strong final boss. The Santa Boss drops a lot of loot when taken down, so you should make sure you are there to help to get your fair share of crazy loot!
The Reindeer Trader is rewarding you for your help.These little Elves are ruining Christmas, and you saving it calls for some rewards. Every Elf has a chance to drop a random Candy Cane that you can use to trade in with the Reindeer Trader for some extra jolly rewards helping you out this December Season.
Updated! Player Warps
The Player Warps are a fun addition to OpSkyBlock making your island accessible for everyone. We however felt like the player warps are lacking some personalization so for this season we will be changing that.
In order to make your Player Warp stand out we will be adding the following options for a warp owner.
Visit Counter - View the amount of players that have visited your warp within the /playerwarps menu.
Warp Icon - Set your warp icon in the /playerwarps menu to the current item you are holding in your hand.
Warp Description - Set a small description of what your warp does that will be displayed within the /playerwarps menu.
Updated! Runes
For this season we will be doing some minor tweaks to the Runes to make them all a bit more balanced, as well as some small required bug fixes.
Prices increased for Godly Runes - We have changed the price for Godly Runes from 400,000 to 450,000 experience. 
Tier changes for Runes - We are moving up Spread and Sweeper to Godly Tier, as they are essential runes for grinding and mining.
Fixed the /runes menu - You will now be able to view all the available runes again.
Added all tools - You will now be able to view each different type of tool and the runes available for that type of tool in the /runes menu.
Updated! Tags
When we released the tags we told everyone that tags are a great way to stand out in chat, however, this is now only limited to the public chat. This season will be changed.
Tags will now show in island, mod, and island team chats as well.
That way you can still flex your tags, even if you are talking in different chat channels to communicate with your friends or island members.
Christmas TagsOn top of that, we will be adding some brand new seasonal Christmas tags, that can only be obtained during this December season. So if you are looking to collect every tag you can not miss out on these!
Updated! Masks
The Masks are a great way to enhance PvP and choose your playstyle, so for this season, we are making sure that all the masks are properly working, and that the boosts being applied are correct. On top of that, we also will be adding the Santa Mask that you can obtain from the limited-time Santa Boss in the newly added Christmas Mine.

Fixed the /magician issue with masks.Masks will now also carry over to helmets while being combined using the /magician. This makes building sets a bit easier because you do not need to worry about losing your masks.
Updated! Pets
Christmas just is not the same without a little Christmas companion. Ever wanted to have a little Snowman following you around and boosting all the currencies you need in OpSkyBlock? Well now is the chance! Next to the little snowman, we will also be adding Pet Skins to spice up your pets even more!
You can now obtain a Snowman pet from various places within the game, the Snowman pet will give you the following boosts.

Pet SkinsEver wanted to give your pet a fresh new look? With these new pet skins, you can. Pet skins can be obtained in-game, or from the store and gold shop.
Each season new skins will be added and the previous skins will become unavailable.
This means these pet skins will gain value over time, as you can no longer obtain them. You can always take off a Pet Skin and trade it with others when you want to, which makes these skins an essential part of becoming the #1 trader at OpPrison, with your pets having a fresh look
Fixed! Bugs
We did our best to polish and fix as many existing bugs inside the OpSkyBlock server. We have looked through all the bug reports and managed to fix them. If you come across any bugs with the new release, make sure to report them at our forums under the bug reports section.
Here are a few of the bugs we squished out:
- Fixed receiving skill experience from blocks you can not mine.
- Fixed Island Strikes being randomly removed.
- Fixed Bosses randomly despawning.
- Fixed SkyMaster Perks that weren't working.
- Fixed border of your Island resetting sometimes.
- Fixed /bosstimer not showing the accurate boss status and time.
- Fixed the messages showing placeholders from SkyMaster ranks.
- Fixed SkyMaster rank color not changing in /msg.
- Fixed Turtle Pet description.
- Fixed Bee pet damage multiplier.
- Fixed /sell hand for SkyKing and SkyMaster
- Fixed Dungeon mob names being set to 'Zombie' after hitting them.
- Fixed masks being removed from helmet when you use the magician.
- Fixed /quests and the Quest Vouchers.
- Fixed runes being picked up by hoppers and chests.
- Fixed /chatcolor stained glass colors not being the correct color.
- and many more.
Misc. Updates and changes.
After receiving some suggestions about modifying a couple of things, we have decided to make the following modifications in order to make everyone's Factions experience much better. We have modified a few features which were present on the previous map, and here is the list including those modifications, along with a justification for the majority:
- Updated all plugins.
- Updated /payouts menu.
- Updated AntiCheat.
- Added an NPC to view all SkyMaster perks in-game.
- Added Santa Mask
- Added Snowman Pet
- Added Mob Coin boosters to crates and the goldshop.
- Adjusted the Dungeon Key drop rates per mine.
- Added Boss Evolvers to the Dungeon Crate.
- Added more stock to all black market items.
- Added a skills leaderboard.
- Added /leaderboards menu.
- Removed /is competitions.
- Removed Island Points from /is top

Question and AnswersWhy does OpSkyBlock reset?
OpSkyBlock is already up for some time. A reset has to happen to change and improve with new features, to make the game more exciting for you all! This then allows you players to have a fresh start and new players can begin to play without any significant disadvantage.
This means all items, money, and the map will be reset. Nothing will be kept leftover from the previous map. I know this must be a disappointing revelation for a lot of you, but think about the exciting new changes, the new alliances you can forge, the new map, the new features and updates the different kinds of gameplay, and style is provided with this update will surely make it a worth-while and exciting reset!
