Do void kills equal kills

I've been wondering, if I got 1 void kill would it mean I have 1 normal kill too or would the number of void kills go up but not the normal kills and the same the other way around. I could probably test it myself but idk might as well ask first (I'm lazy)

If u hit the player to the void it counts as a void kill in game and in your stats
